What is TMD?

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) affect the jaw muscles, temporomandibular joints, and surrounding nerves that contribute to chronic facial pain and migraines. When the complex system of muscles, bones, and joints in the jaw cannot function together properly, patients may experience symptoms such as jaw clenching, teeth grinding, headaches, facial pain, cracked teeth, or broken crowns.

Our TMJ and migraine therapies are designed to relieve muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and restore proper jaw function. Treatments such as therapeutic Botox, massage, acupressure and dry needling target the underlying muscle activity contributing to pain and headaches. During your consultation, we may also discuss mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques to support long-term relief and jaw relaxation.

What is TMJ & Migraine Botox ?

TMJ & Migraine Botox is a highly effective therapeutic treatment that uses carefully placed injections to treat chronic migraines, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), chronic jaw tension, teeth grinding, and neuromuscular hyperactivity of the face, neck, and shoulders.  By reducing excessive muscle activity and tension, Botox can help relieve pain, decrease the frequency and intensity of migraines, improve jaw function, and prevent further strain on the teeth and joints. At Align Wellness, Botox therapy is part of a comprehensive, whole-person approach that combines evidence-based medical care with complementary treatments such as therapeutic massage, dry needling, acupressure, 1-on-1 yoga sessions, and mindfulness practices to address both the physical and nervous system factors that contribute to chronic pain and provide lasting relief.

What is TMJ & Migraine Dry Needling?

TMJ & Migraine Dry Needling is a targeted treatment that uses thin, sterile needles to release trigger points and relieve muscle tension in the jaw, face, neck, and shoulders—areas that commonly contribute to TMJ dysfunction and chronic migraines. By reducing muscle tightness, improving blood flow, and calming overactive pain patterns, dry needling can help decrease jaw pain, headaches, teeth grinding, and restricted jaw movement while restoring healthier muscle function. At Align Wellness, dry needling is integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan that may also include therapeutic Botox, massage therapy, acupressure, and mindfulness practices to address both the muscular and nervous system components of chronic pain for more lasting relief.

What is Therapeutic Massage & Acupressure?

Therapeutic Massage & Acupressure is a hands-on treatment designed to relieve the muscle tension and trigger points that often contribute to TMJ dysfunction, chronic headaches, migraines, and facial pain. Using targeted massage techniques and precise acupressure, this therapy helps release tight muscles in the jaw, neck, shoulders, and face while improving circulation, reducing stress, and promoting nervous system regulation. At Align Wellness, therapeutic massage and acupressure are often combined with treatments such as therapeutic Botox, dry needling, breathwork, and mindfulness practices to address both the physical and emotional factors that contribute to chronic pain, supporting lasting relief and overall wellbeing.

Dry needling is a therapeutic treatment designed to release tension and trigger points in the jaw, face, and surrounding muscles that contribute to TMJ dysfunction and migraines. By targeting tight muscle fibers with precise, sterile needles, this treatment helps reduce pain, improve muscle function, and relieve pressure that can lead to headaches and jaw discomfort. It is especially beneficial for patients experiencing chronic jaw tension, clenching, or stress-related facial pain.

  • TMJ & Migraine Botox

    60 Minutes
    $14/Unit

TMJ and Migraine Botox is a targeted treatment that relaxes overactive jaw muscles responsible for clenching, grinding, and tension-related headaches. Small, precise injections reduce muscle activity in the masseter and surrounding muscles, helping to alleviate jaw pain, decrease migraine frequency, and protect teeth from damage caused by grinding. This treatment provides both therapeutic relief and preventative care for patients struggling with TMJ-related pain and chronic migraines.
